Uploading Files Using FTP Feature in Front Page
Have your designed web open and click on File > Publish Web.
Specify the location to publish your web to: ftp://yourdomain.com/web
Click publish.
Enter your username and password. Front Page should now begin to upload your local web copy to your ISP's web server. Once it is finished, it will give you the message, "web site published successfully!".
Click Done.
Uploading Files Using FTP Feature in Macromedia Dreamweaver
First open Dreamweaver then choose Site > Manage Sites.

New window will pop up. Click New button, and select Site from the list.

Another window will pop up, choose Advanced tab. Select Local Info from the Category list. Insert Site Name and Local root folder, which is the place where the local copy of your website on your computer.

Now select Remote Info from the Category list, and choose FTP from the Access drop-down menu.

After you choose FTP, more textboxes will appear. Insert your domain name, the FTP username, and password as you see in the example, and then click OK.

Click Done.

This info will show up on the right hand side of your screen. Click Expand/Collapse icon.

The local-remote screen will expand, and you will see the local copy of your website on one side, and the remote folder on the other side. You can click on the up and down arrows to upload and download files between local and remote.
